Everyone except the wearer can long-click Press and hold down the mouse button for about 3 seconds the headphones to get a menu where they can configure a maximum and a minimum range.

If the chat message comes from a distance within that range it does not get modified.

You can only modify these settings while the headphones are unlocked.

The wearer can neither modify these settings nor look at what is currently configured.
